Well, If you did not know but were waiting for the newest ship of the Cunard fleet  ‘Queen Elizabeth’  to be ready for its first cruise out of Southampton, it arrived. October 8, 2010.
 “The 90,000-tonne vessel has been built at the Fincantieri shipyard near Trieste in Italy”

 Did you know almost 70 % of the crew were transfered from the Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 to be part of the new Queen Elizabeth’s crew. A great way to continue the Cunard tradition of impeccable service to passengers.

Thank you so much for your contribution to this beautiful ship (I personally am still very much in love with the interior of the Queen Victoria….) :-)The only thing that disturbes the nice view of the ship is the "Epic-like" front top.. :-/ we call it "it has aerodynamic values of a fridge now"…Well, in 2011 the Queen Mary 2 will be "tested thoroughly" (24 nights) and maybe another cruise then with the QE. Whatever route might suite us then… :-)All the best and keep on posting 🙂
